The Opportunity – Sr. Database Analyst/Administrator

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our best-in-class real-time database infrastructure. This includes analyzing and recommending action plans for back up and archiving, and enhancing performance for common tasks in the system, and improving our options for DB system monitoring and disaster recovery.  You’ll be responsible for authoring and maintaining scripts, developing and monitoring health metrics, and anything else that ensures that real-time transactions are performing optimally and that reporting solutions deliver results and are scalable. You’ll also be working with the development team to ensure that the data design and approach to support new software functionality is optimal and scalable.

You will need to be a team-player, and have a high sense of collaboration because we have a small team that works well together.  You’ll be used to working in an Agile environment where you will meet your targets – on time every time.  You’ll need to be resourceful and want to be involved in the process – because you’ll be expected to research and evaluate alternative technical solutions and be comfortable making recommendations.

Ideally, you’ll have 5 – 10 years’ experience as a database analyst/administrator with 4 years’ experience with PostgreSQL database design and administration.  If this also happens to include replication and synchronization experience and working in a SaaS environment – we definitely want to speak with you!

This is an opportunity for someone who is hungry for growth – we don’t watch time here – we manage by deliverables. Status Quo’ers and 9 to 5er’s need not apply.
